The European Union's Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) National Contact Point held its project closing event on 24 September at the headquarters of the National Fund for Culture. At the closing event, the participants were informed about the objectives of the EaSI Programme, the results of the social innovation project, the domestic ecosystem of social innovation, as well as a number of pilot development projects and good practice examples.
Among the pilot developments implemented within the framework of the National Laboratory for Social Innovation (TINLAB) was the project "Be a Number Queen! The development of the social innovation project started on 1 April 2024, and during the six-month development period, the script for a series of drama pedagogical workshops was prepared. The aim of the sessions is to improve attitudes and sense of competence (self-confidence) in mathematics among 8-10 year old girls.
Eszter Miklós reported at the closing conference of the EaSI National Contact Point that the pilot development of the Be a Number Queen! pilot project has been a success and the workshop series has lived up to expectations. The innovation project received positive feedback from both children, defined as the primary target group, and teachers and parents, defined as the secondary target group. Conference participants were pleased to learn about the successful project development; their questions and comments confirmed the viability and sustainability of the project.
