For the tenth time, Debrecen is organizing a TEDx event, to which SIXAGON also joins as a cooperating partner. According to our cooperation agreement with the curator of the event, Dr. Judit Kovács, we provide assistance in the organization and event management of the TEDxDebrecen conference in October 2024, primarily in the fields of event organization, corporate relations, external and internal communication, and business management and data protection.
What is at TEDxDebrecen?
TED started in California in 1984 as a small, exclusive conference and has now become a worldwide concept. Perhaps the world's most exciting, most sought-after and most serious, non-strictly professional conference, which is most succinctly expressed by the slogan "Ideas Worth Spreading". TED conferences are an extremely intense and inspiring experience with thought-provoking and entertaining lectures of a maximum of 18 minutes. TEDx events are locally organized events independent of TED, which speak to the local community about local issues. The first TEDx event in Debrecen took place in 2012 under the name TEDxNagyerdő, and it is the longest-running rural TEDx conference in Hungary. In 2016, the conditions for the event to take the name of the city were met, so from this year the event has been held under the name TEDxDebrecen.
Why is it important to us at TEDxDebrecen?
As in the case of our other cooperating partners, SIXAGON's collaboration with TEDxDebrecen is also based on shared values. We are happy to be associated with a community that has been working for more than a decade to make the inspiring stories and life journeys that take the community on exciting spiritual journeys visible in Debrecen. TEDxDebrecen ‒ like SIXAGON ‒ works for a future that is sustainable, inclusive and based on collaborations. We are convinced that Debrecen is a better place thanks to the fact that civilians build a community and thereby contribute to increasing the city's ability to retain and attract talent.
How do we help TEDxDebrecen?
We provide services within the framework of our cooperation agreement that contribute to making the conference in October 2024 visible and transparent. The members of the SIXAGON team use their individual skills to help with the organization and execution in various areas, and we are happy to share our knowledge and our network of contacts.
We look forward to the new stages of cooperation, in the meantime we thank the organizers for their trust and openness!
