Why has cyber security become inevitable for today's businesses? What are the biggest cyber security risks? What are the technological and regulatory challenges for the domestic SME sector and the public sector in the field of cyber security in 2024? These questions were answered at the DigitalTech EDIH conference, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdú-Bihar County. In the first part of the event, Barnabás Málnay (ELTE) presented the DigitalTech EDIH programme, which supports businesses in their digital transition, with a special focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, through the EIT Digital knowledge innovation community. Anna Király, cyber security expert, spoke about the obligations imposed by the cyber security law on the Hungarian corporate sector and the steps that business leaders should and can take to prepare for the cyber security audit. In his presentation, Dr. Csanád Bertók (University of Debrecen) explained the risks SMEs face if they do not pay adequate attention to cyber security.
